Arts Activated is Australia’s leading national forum for arts, culture and disability.
It’s a biennial conference produced and presented by Accessible Arts – NSW’s peak arts and disability organisation – to inform, connect and activate people and organisations involved with Australia’s arts and disability sector.
Arts Activated 2021 is set to attract hundreds of delegates from all over Australia and around the world who’ll gather to share information and ideas about advancing arts and disability, both for arts practitioners with disability and audiences with disability.
Since the first Arts Activated in 2007, the event has grown to become an important fixture on Australia’s arts industry calendar attracting a diverse array of delegates including artists, arts workers, disability advocates, researchers, policymakers and other experts from across the arts, cultural and disability sectors.
The conference provides a really valuable opportunity for artists with disability to share their knowledge and experience as well as connect with other artists and arts workers from NSW, across Australia and overseas. It’s also a unique platform for people working in the arts, cultural and event sectors to share their approaches to accessibility and better understand how to increase participation in their programs, performances, exhibitions and events.
Delegates will be able to use the conference as an opportunity to connect with others, exchange knowledge, ask questions, learn from best practice case studies, develop new skills, shift perceptions, provide new ways of thinking and widen perspectives.
